Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience
- Experience managing staff in compliance with collective bargaining agreements preferred
- Experience working in a high-volume luxury bar preferred
- Ability to lead and inspire a team
- Strong knowledge of beverage products and mixology techniques
- Commitment to maintaining health and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Culinary Institute or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of prior relevant experience
- Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred
- Previous experience working in a bar in a high-volume luxury restaurant preferred
Job Duties
- Responsible for execution of policies, operating procedures, pricing initiatives, training programs, directives, bar menus, rules and regulations for the bar staff
- Owns department execution of food and beverage and company-wide initiatives and programs
- Maintain the highest standards of health, sanitation and cleanliness within all areas of the bar
- Responsible for completion of all company compliance training for staff
- Review, create and develop new bar menu items and concepts to remain current with food trends and marketplace and is responsible for promoting bar/mixology department through marketing
- Manages human resources responsibilities to include creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
- quality hiring, training and succession planning process that encompass the company’s diversity commitment
- compliance with company policies, legal requirements, employment law, and collective bargaining agreements
- Interacts with internal/external guests to ensure satisfaction and product quality
- Reacts to any feedback on guest complaints and takes any appropriate action
- Maintains excellent knowledge of property’s beverage products, menu items and equipment used to perform duties
