Job Description

Canteen, a subsidiary of Compass Group USA, is a renowned leader in the foodservice industry, dedicated to revolutionizing break time experiences by combining food, service, and innovative technology. Established as a trusted provider across multiple sectors, Canteen operates markets, office coffee and snacks, unattended retail, and culinary solutions tailored to enhance workplace environments and connect employees through thoughtful food offerings. With a strong emphasis on growth and excellence, Canteen’s dynamic environment fosters collaboration and passion among its employees, driving its continuous expansion and impact within the communities it serves.

This full-time position, offering an annual salary range between $60,000 and $65,000 along with yearly bonus opportunities, centers on supporting the Minnesota Vikings Foundation’s initiative to provide nutritious meals to youth across the Greater Twin Cities area. The role focuses specifically on the Vikings Table Food Truck, a critical community outreach platform that delivers healthy food options while strengthening community bonds. This position works directly alongside the Executive Chef, assisting with meal preparation, food service, and operational duties both at the food truck and during major events, such as Minnesota Vikings home football games.

The responsibility involved in this role includes preparing and distributing approximately 1,000 meals to community members in need and supporting various meal programs benefiting notable organizations like the Boys & Girls Club and Ronald McDonald House. The successful candidate plays a vital role in ensuring food quality, safety compliance, and efficient meal production under high-volume conditions. This position is not only about cooking but about contributing to social good by fighting food insecurity and promoting wellness among underserved populations.

Working for Canteen means joining a company that values its people and their contributions, offering numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth, all while being part of meaningful community service. The role demands a flexible schedule to accommodate the operational timings of football games, weekends, and holidays, demanding stamina and dedication. A passion for community engagement, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment are essential qualities for success in this position. Employees also benefit from comprehensive health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and various other perks designed to support their well-being and work-life balance.

Join Canteen and become part of a forward-thinking, socially responsible organization where your talents support healthier communities and contribute directly to significant charitable endeavors. The role offers both a competitive compensation package and the satisfaction of making a tangible difference in the lives of youth and families throughout the Greater Twin Cities area.
