We are currently seeking a Chef Manager to join our culinary team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This full-time position plays a vital role in delivering top-notch food experiences and exceptional customer service. The Chef Manager will take a hands-on approach in managing and developing kitchen personnel while overseeing all culinary operations. This role requires a balance of culinary expertise, strategic management skills, and an unwavering focus on maintaining safety protocols and fostering positive client relations. The Chef Manager will be instrumental in budget management and the execution of company programs to meet operational targets and quality standards.

In this role, you will be entrusted with leading the kitchen team to uphold high standards in food preparation and presentation. Key responsibilities include training and managing kitchen staff, coordinating all culinary activities, estimating and requisitioning food supplies efficiently, and developing and standardizing recipes to ensure consistency and quality. You will also establish presentation techniques and quality benchmarks, plan and price menus thoughtfully, and ensure the kitchen operates safely and hygienically by overseeing equipment maintenance and sanitation practices.

Moreover, as Chef Manager, you will oversee special catering events and may provide culinary education through instruction or demonstrations. Your role is multifaceted, demanding leadership, creativity, and operational acumen to support Aramark’s mission of serving great food and creating memorable dining experiences. Job Requirements

  • Requires 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • Requires 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Requires experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
  • Requires oral, reading and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise or coordinate all related culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
