We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to delivering exceptional food and customer service experiences. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager will lead with a hands-on approach to team development, culinary excellence, safety protocols, and client relations. You will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish, and managing budgets to meet financial goals.

The Chef Manager will train and supervise kitchen personnel, coordinate culinary activities, and establish standards and techniques for menu presentation. As part of your role, you will estimate food consumption, manage procurement, develop and standardize recipes, and maintain equipment operation and safety in the kitchen environment. Additionally, the role involves overseeing special catering events and providing culinary instruction and demonstrations when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Requires 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • Requires 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Requires experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
  • Requires oral, reading and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise and coordinate all related culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
