Job Description
Integrated Real Estate Group (IREG) is a vertically integrated real estate company dedicated to innovation through integration. With over 1,200 employees and more than 46 communities across Texas and Oklahoma, IREG has established itself as a leader in the development, construction, and operation of multifamily and senior living communities. For more than 20 years, the company has successfully delivered over 15,000 residential units valued at $2 billion in total development. IREG’s portfolio spans affordable housing, workforce housing, and market-rate living, including multifamily units as well as active adult, independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities.
IREG distinguishes itself through a holistic approach that combines its development, construction, and operational divisions to create high-performing communities that prioritize residents’ quality of life. The company culture celebrates innovation not only in the physical buildings but also in how teams collaborate, grow, and develop. IREG is committed to fostering leadership among its staff and building supportive, engaging environments for both employees and residents.
The Chef Manager role at Watermere at Round Rock embodies IREG’s commitment to excellence and resident-centered service. This full-time position is a hands-on culinary leadership role where the individual will lead the kitchen team by example, actively participating in cooking while managing daily operations of the kitchen. The primary focus is to deliver high-quality, delicious meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents, contributing significantly to their positive dining experience.
The ideal candidate will have substantive experience in culinary leadership, such as serving in roles like Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Chef Manager, particularly in structured hospitality or senior living environments. The role demands a balance of hands-on cooking, team management, inventory control, and adherence to rigorous health and safety standards. The Chef Manager is responsible not only for the quality and presentation of the food but also for ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
Beyond cooking, this position requires supervising and supporting kitchen staff, managing inventory and food costs, maintaining compliance with health and sanitation regulations (including HACCP standards), and coordinating team schedules. Special event preparation and themed meal assistance are also key responsibilities, showcasing the vibrant community atmosphere that IREG values.
Success in this role means producing consistently high-quality meals, maintaining strong food safety practices, ensuring efficient kitchen operations, providing dependable team leadership, and ultimately enriching residents’ dining experiences daily. The company recognizes that dining is one of the most meaningful aspects of residents’ lives, and the Chef Manager helps to create a nurturing environment where residents feel cared for and comfortable.
IREG emphasizes professional growth and employee development by offering competitive salaries and benefits. Eligible full-time employees enjoy paid time off, paid holidays, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, and financial protection plans. Additional perks include education assistance, employee referral bonuses, exclusive employee rent discounts at IREG communities, access to earned wages on demand through ZayZoon, and workers’ compensation where applicable.
Integrated Real Estate Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to building stable and rewarding careers for its employees while providing exceptional living environments for residents. Candidates who are team-oriented, reliable, organized, and passionate about delivering excellent food and culinary leadership will thrive in this role and contribute to IREG’s ongoing growth and success.
