Known for its commitment to quality care and innovative programming, Belmont Village offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, and award-winning Memory Care services that create vibrant and intellectually stimulating environments. These communities are designed to help seniors thrive and remain actively engaged while receiving the support they need as they age. The company prides itself on creating a rich, fulfilling community life that brings together residents, families, employees, and neighbors with a shared vision of dignity and respect for older adults.
Belmont Village Senior Living operates with a strong culture of servant leadership, where team members are passionate about providing exceptional service in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. The company’s core values—Trust, Respect, Teamwork, Dignity, Integrity, Ownership, and Learning—are deeply embedded in its operations and contribute to its reputation as a leader in senior living. This leadership philosophy fosters a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere focused on continuous growth and development, making Belmont Village an employer of choice for professionals who want a meaningful and impactful career.
The role of Chef Manager In-Training (CMIT) at Belmont Village Senior Living offers an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to launch or advance their leadership career within the senior living food service industry. This comprehensive six-month immersive training program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel as a Senior Living Chef Manager or Executive Chef. The program is highly structured, combining on-the-job shadowing, detailed skills checklists, self-paced online learning modules, leadership assessments, and hands-on experience.
Participants in the CMIT program will work closely with an experienced Belmont Village Chef Manager Preceptor in dynamic assisted living and memory care communities. This mentorship model provides personalized guidance and gradual increases in responsibility, allowing trainees to build technical expertise and crucial leadership capabilities over time. The program emphasizes managing a high-volume dining service, culinary talent development through recipe-based meal preparation, ensuring hospitality-focused food service quality, and maintaining all regulatory compliance. Trainees will learn effective team leadership skills to support Food Service staff members while upholding Belmont Village’s mission and values.
The training program also includes structured mentorship and feedback opportunities. Trainees participate in monthly meetings with the Program Administrator and Executive Director Preceptor, receive ongoing constructive feedback, engage in self-evaluations, and submit progress reports. This continuous support system helps ensure that participants stay on track and fully benefit from the training experience.
Successful completion of the program prepares graduates to apply for Chef Manager positions within Belmont Village, with career advancement opportunities based on demonstrated skills and organizational needs. The company encourages driven individuals with a passion for leadership and a desire to grow within a supportive team environment to apply. Beyond technical skills, participants are expected to drive their own learning actively, seizing opportunities to apply new knowledge and maximize the mentoring resources provided.
Belmont Village also underscores its commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce and is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. The opportunity includes a comprehensive, paid training program with robust benefits and a chance to contribute meaningfully to a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving seniors' quality of life.
