Job Description
Belmont Village Senior Living is a distinguished company that owns, manages, and operates luxury senior living communities throughout the United States and Mexico City. The company is renowned for cultivating a culture of servant leadership, where the team members are passionate about serving older adults in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Belmont Village's core values include Trust, Respect, Teamwork, Dignity, Integrity, Ownership, and Learning, which are deeply embedded in all aspects of their operations. With a workforce between 1,000 and 1,499 employees, Belmont Village is dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and hospitality specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of elder residents. Their communities are situated in attractive, established neighborhoods with convenient access to healthcare facilities and local amenities, providing an enriched living experience for their residents.
The company offers a broad suite of services including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and award-winning Memory Care. These environments are designed to be intellectually stimulating and vibrant, where seniors can thrive while remaining actively engaged and supported as they age. Belmont Village places significant emphasis on the quality and personalization of care, creating communities where residents, families, employees, and neighbors collaborate to build a rich and fulfilling community life.
Belmont Village Senior Living is currently seeking motivated individuals to join their comprehensive 6-month Chef Manager In-Training (CMIT) program. This paid training program is an immersive experience designed to launch a leadership career within senior living culinary management. Participants in this program receive mentorship from experienced Chef Manager Preceptors located in Belmont’s vibrant assisted living and memory care communities. The training provides gradual increases in responsibility combined with hands-on experience, leadership assessments, and self-paced online learning modules. Successful completion of the program prepares participants to apply for Chef Manager or Executive Chef positions within Belmont Village.
The CMIT program emphasizes comprehensive rotational training spanning all aspects of the Food Service Program. Trainees learn how to manage high-volume dining services, develop culinary skills through recipe-based meal preparation, ensure consistently high standards in hospitality-focused food service, lead Food Service team members effectively, and maintain regulatory compliance. Guided by both preceptors and program administrators, participants are provided with ongoing feedback, self-evaluations, and progress reports, enabling them to refine their skills and grow both technically and as leaders.
Career advancement potential is strong for individuals who successfully complete the training and meet company needs, with promotions to Chef Manager roles designed to develop future leaders within Belmont Village. The company encourages driven individuals with leadership potential and a passion for working in a supportive team environment to apply. A strong emphasis on self-directed learning is integral to the program, requiring trainees to actively seek opportunities to apply new skills and efficiently utilize the resources and mentorship available.
Belmont Village offers a wide-ranging and competitive benefits package to support the well-being and professional development of their full-time management employees. Benefits include lucrative bonus opportunities, comprehensive medical, dental, vision, mental health, and prescription coverage, as well as generous paid time off encompassing vacation, holidays, personal days, and sick leave. The company also provides retirement planning options with a 401(k) savings plan featuring an employer match, alongside short-term and long-term disability insurance and life insurance coverage.
Operating with a strong commitment to equal opportunity employment, Belmont Village is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce. The company seeks individuals with a positive attitude, flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to relocate post-training to any Belmont Village location. Proficiency with workplace technology such as Microsoft Office Suite, POS systems, and video conferencing tools is essential. Ideal candidates have a background in supervisory food service roles, an interest in working with the older population, and effective communication skills in English.
Joining Belmont Village Senior Living means becoming part of a compassionate and dynamic team that values leadership, service, and the holistic growth of both employees and residents. This CMIT program represents a unique opportunity to begin a rewarding culinary leadership career in a healthcare service setting, where you can make a meaningful difference in seniors’ lives while advancing professionally within a company committed to excellence and growth.
