With a dynamic work culture focused on talent development, passion fueling, and professional growth, Aramark offers a diverse and inclusive work environment where individuals can thrive and realize their full potential.
The Community College of Rhode Island, in partnership with Aramark, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef Manager to join their culinary team. This is a hands-on managerial position where the successful candidate will report directly to the Food Service Director. The role is centered on delivering exceptional customer service and culinary experiences to students, staff, and visitors of the college. The Chef Manager will be responsible for team development, culinary expertise, adherence to safety and sanitation protocols, and fostering strong client relations. The position also plays an essential role in budget management and the successful execution of company-delivered programs.

Estimating food consumption, requisitioning, or purchasing food supplies are critical duties to maintain smooth kitchen operations. Developing and standardizing recipes, establishing presentation and quality standards, and pricing menus are also part of the daily responsibilities. Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of kitchen equipment while upholding strict safety and sanitation guidelines are paramount to the role. Additionally, the Chef Manager will oversee special catering events and may provide culinary instruction or demonstrate advanced cooking techniques.
