The role of Chef Manager at Aramark is vital to delivering exceptional culinary experiences alongside outstanding customer service. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager takes a hands-on leadership approach in managing kitchen personnel and culinary operations while ensuring safety protocols and high-quality food standards are consistently met. This role involves significant responsibility in team development, helping the kitchen staff enhance their skills and maintain motivation. Additionally, the Chef Manager coordinates and supervises all culinary activities, selects and standardizes recipes to ensure consistency, and oversees the planning, pricing, and presentation of menus. The position plays a critical role in managing budgets, ensuring efficient food consumption, and requisition processes, thereby supporting company financial goals. Moreover, the Chef Manager oversees proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and enforces sanitation and safety regulations to protect both staff and customers. Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a related position
- 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
- culinary degree preferred
- advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
- oral, reading and written communication skills

Job Duties
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise or coordinate all related culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
