The Chef Manager position at Aramark Healthcare located within Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia Hospital plays a critical role in the organization’s commitment to excellent culinary service. This role is responsible for creating and implementing diverse culinary solutions that align with customer needs and preferences while upholding the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. The Chef Manager will oversee and manage culinary operations across three points of service: patients, retail, and catering. Job Requirements

  • At least two years of culinary management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of SERV Safe or HACCP standards
  • Culinary arts education preferred
  • Experience in healthcare preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple culinary service points
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in a culinary management role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Culinary arts degree desired
  • SERV Safe certification or HACCP knowledge required
  • Experience with production systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage production for three points of service including patients, retail and catering
  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise or coordinate all related culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes, standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction or demonstrate culinary techniques
