The role of Chef Manager at Aramark is a pivotal position that involves much more than just culinary excellence. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager will play a hands-on role in managing kitchen operations with a strong emphasis on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocols, and customer satisfaction. This position is critical in ensuring that the food experiences provided meet the company’s high standards and customer expectations. The Chef Manager will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all culinary activities, training kitchen staff, and ensuring that all food products adhere to quality and safety standards. Additionally, the Chef Manager will oversee budgeting and cost control activities by estimating food consumption and managing purchases, helping the company meet its financial objectives.
Beyond managing day-to-day kitchen functions, the Chef Manager will also contribute creatively by selecting and developing new recipes and standardizing production to guarantee consistency in quality and presentation. An important part of this role is to establish presentation techniques and quality standards, plan menus, and price items accordingly to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve business goals. The Chef Manager will ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operated safely, maintaining rigorous safety and sanitation protocols within the kitchen environment. They will also take charge of overseeing special catering events and may provide culinary instruction or demonstrations of technique, promoting both culinary innovation and education.

Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a related position
- 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
- culinary degree preferred
- advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
- oral, reading and written communication skills

Job Duties
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise coordinate all related culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
