As a Chef Manager at Aramark, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and culinary experiences. Reporting directly to the General Manager, your role combines culinary expertise, team leadership, safety management, and customer relationship skills to ensure smooth kitchen operations. This hands-on position requires you to guide and develop kitchen personnel, overseeing all culinary activities to maintain consistent quality and innovation in food offerings. You will be responsible for selecting and developing recipes, standardizing production methods, and controlling food costs by estimating consumption and purchasing supplies accordingly. Your responsibilities also include maintaining high standards of food presentation, equipment operation, safety, and sanitation protocols within the kitchen. In addition, you may oversee special catering events and provide culinary training or demonstrations to staff or clients. Job Requirements

  • Requires 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • requires 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • culinary degree preferred
  • requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • requires experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
  • requires oral, reading and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise or coordinate all related culinary activities
  • estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • establish presentation technique and quality standards and plan and price menus
  • ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
