We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef Manager to join our team. This role reports directly to the General Manager and is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and unforgettable food experiences. As Chef Manager, you will take a hands-on approach to managing and developing kitchen personnel, ensuring culinary expertise is maintained at the highest standards. Your leadership will focus on team development, safety protocols, and maintaining excellent client relations, all while supporting budget requirements and executing company-driven programs effectively.

The Chef Manager position demands not only culinary proficiency but also strong management capabilities. You will be responsible for training and supervising kitchen staff, overseeing food preparation activities, and ensuring all operations adhere to safety and sanitation standards. Seasonal and special catering events will also fall under your purview, where you may need to demonstrate culinary techniques and offer instruction. Your creativity and attention to detail will be critical in developing and standardizing recipes, establishing presentation techniques, and planning menus that meet quality and pricing standards.

Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • culinary degree preferred
  • advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
  • oral, reading and written communication skills

Job Duties

  • Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise coordinate all related culinary activities
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • Ensure proper equipment operation maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
