The role of Chef Manager at Metz Culinary Management is a unique and dynamic leadership position that combines culinary expertise with exceptional management abilities. Based at The Brookings Institution in Washington DC, this full-time position offers an attractive salary range of 85,000 to 90,000 USD annually, with eligibility for bonuses. The Chef Manager oversees multi-site corporate dining operations, ensuring the execution of delicious, well-planned menus that meet the high standards of the company and its clients.

This role requires a seasoned professional with executive chef experience and strong leadership skills who is capable of managing both the front and back of house effectively. The successful candidate will embody a polished and professional presence, excellent communication skills, and a mentoring leadership style that promotes team building, strong recruitment, and retention programs. Responsibilities span from menu design and cycle menu implementation to overseeing purchasing, staffing, bookkeeping, customer relations, food preparation, service quality, and sanitation standards.

Experience in contract dining food service environments such as hospitals, schools, colleges, senior living communities, or corporate dining settings is highly desirable.
