The Chef Manager position is available at Penn Medicine - Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, under the Aramark Healthcare division. This role is vital to delivering exceptional culinary solutions across multiple service points including patient meals, retail food service, and catering operations. The Chef Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire culinary operation, ensuring that food production meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and safety. Job Duties

  • Manages production for 3 points of service: patients, retail and catering
  • train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
  • estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
  • establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
  • ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques
