Aramark is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Chef Manager to join their team. This role is a crucial part of delivering exceptional customer service and outstanding food experiences. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager will take a hands-on approach to managing culinary operations, focusing on team development, culinary expertise, safety protocols, and client relations. The individual in this position will play a key role in managing budgets and executing company programs aimed at maintaining high standards and operational excellence.

The Chef Manager's responsibilities include training and managing kitchen personnel, coordinating all culinary activities, estimating food consumption, and handling food requisitions and purchasing. The role demands expertise in recipe selection, development, and standardization to ensure consistent quality. Additionally, the Chef Manager will establish presentation techniques, set quality standards, and be involved in planning and pricing menus. Proper equipment operation and maintenance, as well as ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines, are vital components of this role.

Furthermore, the Chef Manager will oversee special catering events and may provide culinary instruction or demonstrate culinary techniques to staff or guests. Job Requirements

2-3 years of experience in related position
2-3 years post-high school education or equivalent experience
culinary degree preferred
knowledge of food profession principles and practices
experience managing people and/or problems
effective oral, reading and written communication skills

Job Duties

Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques
