Beyond the kitchen, the Chef Manager contributes to the operational side of food service management, including budgeting, menu planning, and food purchasing. They estimate food consumption to optimize inventory, participate in costing to meet budgetary goals, and may manage catering events to expand the company’s culinary reach. As a leader who embodies both culinary innovation and business acumen, the Chef Manager helps execute company programs designed to enhance the guest experience and ensure the restaurant or culinary operation runs smoothly and profitably.
