We are currently seeking a Chef Manager to join our dynamic team. This position is salaried with an expected compensation ranging from $70,000 to $74,000 annually. The Chef Manager will report directly to the General Manager and take a hands-on, leadership role in overseeing kitchen operations. This role is critical in delivering exceptional culinary experiences and outstanding customer service to meet the high standards Aramark is known for.
The Chef Manager will be responsible for leading and developing kitchen staff, ensuring all culinary activities are executed with excellence, and maintaining strict safety and sanitation protocols to provide a safe working environment. Additionally, the role includes a strategic focus on budgeting and cost control, supporting the financial health of the operation, and enforcing company programs and initiatives. We are looking for a motivated culinary professional who is passionate about leadership, quality, and innovation.
This role demands a balance of creativity, operational insight, and strong management skills. The ideal candidate will possess a culinary degree or equivalent experience, significant expertise in food preparation and kitchen management, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients alike. Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a related position
- high school diploma or equivalent
- advanced knowledge of culinary principles and practices
- experiential knowledge of managing people and/or problems
- excellent communication skills
- ability to lead and develop teams
- commitment to kitchen safety and sanitation protocols
Job Qualifications
- Requires 2-3 years of experience in a related position
- high school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and relevant experience
- culinary degree preferred
- requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- requires experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
- requires oral, reading and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
- estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques
