Job Description

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. (HCSG) is a leading healthcare services provider specializing in food and dining services for long-term care facilities, skilled nursing centers, rehabilitation and adult care communities, and hospitals. Founded in 1978, HCSG has grown to employ over 10,000 team members dedicated to improving the health and well-being of patients and residents by delivering high-quality nutrition and compassionate service. The company’s vision, "To Be the Choice for Our Customers," reflects its ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. HCSG instills a culture grounded in core values such as integrity, collaboration, empowerment, passion, and perseverance, all of which empower employees to make meaningful contributions and foster growth within the healthcare food service sector.

As a Food Service Director / Dining Services Director at HCSG, you will lead the dining department at a single long-term care facility, overseeing all aspects of food service operations to ensure exceptional food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This leadership role requires a proactive and motivated individual who thrives in managing food production, team supervision, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will be instrumental in maintaining high standards for food preparation, inventory management, and hygiene while ensuring adherence to facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Your effective management skills will support both the operational goals of HCSG and the well-being of the facility’s residents.

In this role, you will develop and maintain training and quality control programs to optimize food service operations, motivate and supervise team members including cooks, dietary aides, and dishwashers, and manage administrative duties such as record keeping, inventory control, and budget monitoring through HCSG’s specialized software. You will serve as the primary point of communication between client managers, building occupants, and HCSG leadership, ensuring that directives are clearly relayed and executed. By enforcing strict safety and sanitation protocols, including infection control and use of personal protective equipment, you will champion a clean, safe dining environment.

HCSG offers a comprehensive benefits package to support employees' health, wellness, and financial security including medical, dental, vision, telemedicine from day one, paid holidays and vacation, 401(k), employee stock purchase plans, and more. This role is suitable for candidates who are committed to continuous improvement, possess strong leadership and communication skills, and wish to make a positive impact within the healthcare food service industry.
