The Chef Manager role at American Dining Creations is a highly responsible leadership position based in East Syracuse, NY, with an annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000. This role serves as the company’s representative to clients and customers and is tasked with overseeing all culinary and service operations for an assigned account location. The Chef Manager will manage daily dining services, catering events, and overall operations to ensure a seamless and high-quality food service experience. The individual will be responsible for executing menu offerings, adapting menus based on food trends, costs, patron requests, and seasonal availability while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Chef Manager plays a key role in purchasing all food, beverage, and supplies exclusively from corporate-approved vendors to maintain quality and consistency.
Daily operational duties involve completing and managing detailed reports submitted to the District Manager and ensuring all food safety regulations are met through accurate temperature and production log maintenance. Staff management is a critical aspect of the position, including scheduling in accordance with labor modules, fostering effective communication, and maintaining a motivated and efficient team. The role requires daily interactions with clients, guests, and vendors to nurture strong relationships and ensure client expectations are met or exceeded. Furthermore, the Chef Manager may assist with supporting special events such as new account openings and other responsibilities as assigned. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, restaurant or business or Culinary Degree from an accredited culinary association preferred
- Minimum five years experience in culinary management or related field
- Proven ability to manage daily meal services and catering operations
- Experience managing a staff of five or more employees
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online order systems such as CATERTRAX
- Ability to adapt work schedule flexibly according to business needs
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday
- Valid driver’s license required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, restaurant or business or Culinary Degree from an accredited culinary association is preferred
- Five years experience in a similar culinary management position that may include retail, hotels, business, or education dining
- Experience with service volume up to 500 customers daily and managing staff of 5 employees or more
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, CATERTRAX and other online order systems
- Ability to work a flexible weekly schedule to accommodate business needs
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs, stand, walk, bend for daily work schedule
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Job Duties
- Manage dining services including daily meal service, catering events, and operations
