Aramark is currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Chef Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service and culinary experiences. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager is responsible for taking a hands-on approach to team development, culinary expertise, compliance with safety protocols, and client relations. The position involves a blend of leadership and practical culinary skills, requiring the candidate to train and manage kitchen personnel, oversee all culinary activities, and ensure food quality and presentation meet the company's high standards.
The Chef Manager will play a crucial role in managing food consumption estimates, ordering supplies, developing and standardizing recipes, as well as planning and pricing menus to meet budgetary requirements. They must ensure the kitchen operates smoothly, maintaining proper equipment function and upholding sanitation and safety standards. Additionally, the role may involve overseeing special catering events and providing culinary instruction or demonstrations. Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in a related position
- 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
- Culinary degree preferred
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- Experiential knowledge of management of people and or problems
- Oral, reading and written communication skills

Job Duties
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise or coordinate all related culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
