- Knowledgeable in a wide variety of cuisines
- Strong in oral communication skills especially in teaching scenarios
- Experienced in food service management or hospitality
- Knowledgable of adult education principles to effectively train guests in basic to advanced cooking skills
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Creative with the ability to innovate class flows
- Passionate about teaching the public how to be better home cooks
- Able to lead and entertain classes ranging from 12 to 80 guests for up to four hours
Job Duties
- Teach how to cook a variety of dishes ensuring consistency and quality
- Manage a team of kitchen assistants while instructing providing guidance and training to enhance their culinary skills
- Oversee food preparation processes to maintain safety and sanitation standards
- Educate guests on proper cooking techniques knife skills and food handling practices
- Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients current trends and customer preferences
- Collaborate with the management team to optimize kitchen operations
- Coordinate with the sales team to ensure BEO and guests needs are attended to
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Aid in bartending duties when needed
