The role is for an experienced System Engineer or DevOps Engineer who will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the company’s cloud platform across global regions. This position involves leveraging expertise in AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Cloudfront, CloudFormation, and Route53, alongside strong Linux server administration and scripting skills. The candidate will work extensively with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, develop and consume REST APIs, and implement scalable monitoring solutions using platforms like Nagios, Prometheus, and Grafana. The role demands a proactive approach to evaluating new technologies and implementing best engineering practices for system stability and scalability. Job Requirements
- Bs in computer science or equivalent
- 5-8 years experience as system engineer or devops engineer
- Experience building platforms using code (terraform)
- Strong aws skills with knowledge of ec2, vpc, s3, rds, cloudfront, cloudformation, route53
- Experience in scripting in shell and programming in go, python, or ruby
- Strong linux server administration skills including low-level system tuning
- Experience in building ad-hoc web services and consuming rest apis
- Experience with nagios, sensu, graphite, prometheus, grafana or similar monitoring and graphing solutions
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience as system engineer or devops engineer
- Strong experience with aws services including ec2, vpc, s3, rds, cloudfront, cloudformation, route53
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as shell, as well as programming in go, python, or ruby
- Expertise in linux server administration and low-level system tuning
- Experience working with infrastructure-as-code tools like terraform
- Familiarity with building and consuming restful apis
- Knowledge of monitoring and graphing solutions like nagios, sensu, graphite, prometheus, or grafana
- Excellent teamwork, problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
