The current opening is for a full-time Chef position located at Millipore Sigma, 3300 South 2nd Street, Saint Louis, MO. This role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm, offering a stable and predictable work week with nights and weekends off, along with paid holidays. The hourly pay range for this position is between $19.00 and $21.00, reflecting the importance of culinary expertise combined with supervisory skills required for this job.
The Chef will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating activities in the kitchen, focusing on food preparation, cooking, and food-service quality. This involves supervising a team of cooks and food-service associates, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, and maintaining excellent customer service. The role also includes managing scheduling, payroll, and training duties for kitchen staff, as well as participating in hiring and disciplinary processes. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous culinary experience required
- basic knowledge of stocks and sauces preparation
