Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous culinary experience required
  • basic knowledge of stocks and sauces preparation
  • ability to work Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 2:00 pm
  • strong organizational skills
  • capacity to lift and stand for extended periods
  • commitment to sanitation and safety regulations
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Previous basic culinary knowledge
  • experience in stocks and sauces preparation
  • ability to supervise kitchen staff
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage scheduling and payroll
  • skilled in food preparation and presentation
  • experience in inventory management
  • strong communication and leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Directs, coordinates and evaluates kitchen and food-production activities
  • supervises cooks and food-service associates
  • ensures food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
  • manages scheduling, payroll, training and disciplinary actions
  • prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
  • oversees food presentation, portion control and serving temperatures
  • tracks food use, waste and consumption
  • receives and inspects product and supplies
  • maintains sanitation of equipment and workstations
  • helps select and develop recipes and menus
  • performs other assigned duties
