TouchPoint Support Services, part of Compass Healthcare, is a dedicated team focused on serving hospitality needs within Ascension Health hospitals across the United States. As a Chef at TouchPoint, you will play an essential role in our kitchen operations located at Saint John's Medical Center Health Plaza in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This full-time position involves coordinating and directing kitchen activities, ensuring the highest standards in food production, safety, quality, and customer service. Working Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, the Chef will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, managing food preparation, and maintaining sanitation standards crucial to healthcare environments. The pay range for this role is $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, reflecting the value we place on culinary expertise and effective team leadership.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals who possess a passion for cooking, have prior culinary skills, and are proficient in cost and labor management. You will oversee the preparation of meals that meet standardized recipes and dietary requirements, ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and temperature maintenance. Additionally, the Chef will manage inventory by tracking food usage and waste while inspecting supplies for quality and quantity. Job Duties
- Supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen associates
- Ensures all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
- Manages scheduling, payroll, training, and performance reviews of hourly kitchen staff
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
- Serves meals or prepares meals for delivery ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and temperature
- Tracks food usage and waste to control inventory and requisitions supplies
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, utensils and workstations
- Helps select and develop recipes and menus
