Job Requirements

  • Prior culinary skills
  • Experience in cost and labor management
  • Ability to supervise a team
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
  • Ability to pass a background check and comply with a drug-free workplace policy

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
  • Experience with inventory management

Job Duties

  • Supervises, coordinates and participates in activities of cooks and other kitchen associates
  • Ensures all food handling, sanitation and customer service standards are met
  • Manages scheduling, payroll, training, and performance reviews of hourly kitchen staff
  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
  • Serves meals or prepares meals for delivery ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and temperature
  • Tracks food usage and waste to control inventory and requisitions supplies
  • Maintains sanitation of equipment, utensils and workstations
  • Helps select and develop recipes and menus
