Job Duties

  • Direct, coordinate, and evaluate kitchen and food-service associates
  • Supervise cooks and participate in food preparation and service
  • Ensure compliance with food handling, sanitation, and customer service standards
  • Manage interviews, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, reviews, and disciplinary actions for kitchen staff
  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes
  • Maintain food presentation, quality, portion control, and proper serving temperatures
  • Track inventory including food use, waste, and product inspection
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, supplies, and work areas
  • Assist in selecting and developing recipes and menus
