The Chef position at Morrison Healthcare offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about making a difference. This role involves providing frontline culinary resources and support to ensure client and customer satisfaction. Chefs working with Morrison Healthcare play an essential role in managing food service operations, contributing to menu development, food cost control, purchasing, and maintaining high standards of food quality and sanitation. This position may involve assisting executive and sous chefs in creating new recipes and menus, managing department scheduling, discipline, and hiring, as well as producing and executing catering events. The Chef will also be responsible for rolling out new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary teams.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of culinary management experience
- hands-on chef experience
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- good communication and teamwork skills
- ability to stand for extended periods
- flexible schedule availability
- ServSafe Certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of culinary management experience
- experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations
- hands-on chef experience is required
- extensive catering experience is preferred
- high volume batch cooking and complex food service operations experience is preferred
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- ServSafe Certification is preferred
- computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products including Excel
- associate's degree in Culinary Arts is preferred
Job Duties
- provides frontline culinary resources and support
- assists with food cost control, menu planning, purchasing, and ensures food quality guidelines are followed
- assists with planning and creating menus
- produces and executes catering events
- rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team
- assists with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- performs other duties as assigned
