Job Description
The Junto is a modern-day embodiment of Ben Franklin's original club, a "club for mutual improvement" that historically brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds to discuss contemporary issues and share ideas. This innovative hotel serves as a vibrant public gathering space where visitors, locals, entrepreneurs, and artists can come together to exchange ideas, inspire one another, and foster a sense of community. Located in Columbus, The Junto is envisioned as a landmark destination that not only offers exceptional hospitality but also adds cultural and social value to the future of the area. Within this dynamic environment, The Junto seeks to uphold traditions of collaboration, creativity, and mutual growth, creating an extraordinary experience that blends history with modern innovation.
The Kitchen Supervisor role at The Junto is designed for a culinary enthusiast who understands that great food elevates an experience from special to extraordinary. This position requires an individual who is meticulous and consistent, with a strong eye for detail and a passion for creativity. The ideal candidate will possess a desire to learn and teach, contributing to the professional growth of the kitchen team. Responsibilities include overseeing the opening and closing of the kitchen, managing kitchen team members through scheduling, training, and mentoring, and ensuring that food quality, safety, and inventory needs are rigorously maintained. This role is pivotal in supporting the kitchen chefs with various operational tasks like inventory control and receiving supplies.
As part of the Makeready collection, The Junto offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to prioritize the health, happiness, and well-being of its team members. Eligible employees enjoy accommodating paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care and 401k plans, a student loan repayment program, and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits. Makeready LLC and its affiliated entities are dedicated to fostering an environment where every team member can be their true independent self and succeed based on qualifications, experience, abilities, and performance. The company is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce free from discrimination based on race, color, disability, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, veteran status, or any other protected status.
