This particular opportunity is for a culinary professional on a PM shift who will play a crucial role in achieving catering revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals by managing kitchen operations efficiently. The role centers around overseeing the preparation of the menu and supervising the line cooks to ensure top-quality food and service. As a member of the culinary team, the successful candidate will be responsible for communicating daily assignments, learning the specific tasks required by the head chef, and ensuring that production meets required quantities within allotted timeframes.
The position demands mastery of all menu items and plate presentations, comprehensive knowledge of all kitchen stations, and the ability to assist in controlling food and labor costs. Job Duties
- Direct and supervise line cooks
- prepare daily assignments for the shift team members
- communicate with the chef to learn daily work tasks
- perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame
- show knowledge of all stations in the department

- communicate with all line cooks for proper pars and production requirements in each station
- keep work area clean at all times
- assist the management team in the control of food and labor costs
- show proficiency in the safe use of relevant tools for the job including knives, pots, pans, glassware, stoves, steamers
- demonstrate knowledge of all relevant cooking techniques and procedures
- abide by all hotel policies and procedures
