Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years management or supervisory experience preferably in hospitality or health facility
- 2-3 years work experience in a culinary or related field
- knowledge of Serv-Safe procedures
- ability to work day and early evening shifts
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to maintain food safety and quality standards
- physical ability to perform kitchen duties
- proactive problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications

- familiarity with nutrition philosophy in wellness setting

- experience with recipe compliance and quality control
Job Duties
- Ensure food quality in preparation and presentation
- uphold policies and procedures of the kitchen and Canyon Ranch
- comply with Serv-Safe procedures
- coordinate administrative responsibilities with day-to-day kitchen operations
- understand and apply Canyon Ranch nutrition philosophy and menu knowledge
- provide daily supervision of culinary staff ensuring timeliness and preparedness
- inspect stations and proactively solve problems
- ensure standards for station breakdown and reset
- guarantee high and consistent quality of all menu items
- follow recipes exactly
- taste and check texture before service
- ensure model plates are prepared before meal service
- enforce health standards according to Pima County Health code
- ensure staff follow safety procedures
- report safety hazards and follow up for resolution
- oversee food preparation and presentation to comply with recipes and nutritional standards
- handle food storage according to health and Serv-Safe guidelines
- document and rectify safety hazards and unsafe practices
