We are currently seeking a highly skilled and creative Chef de Cuisine to lead the culinary operations at our rooftop Watr Restaurant, a location renowned for its Japanese-influenced cuisine and stunning lake views. The Chef de Cuisine will helm the entire kitchen operation, managing the team, overseeing food preparation, and ensuring every dish delivered meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. In this position, you will be responsible not only for menu creation and culinary innovation but also for maintaining food safety standards, managing inventory, and leading staff engagement. Your role will directly influence guest satisfaction and drive the financial success of the restaurant.
The ideal candidate for this role is passionately committed to food and culinary arts, bringing a minimum of three to five years of experience in a similar position. A relevant post-secondary diploma or degree is advantageous, though hands-on experience and proven leadership capabilities are equally valued. This role demands excellent verbal and written communication skills, a robust knowledge of culinary operations, and the ability to adapt to the fast-paced, dynamic environment of a 24-hour operation.
