Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Cuisine to join our culinary team. This role is pivotal in supporting the Executive Chef by overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure the seamless execution of menus and the maintenance of high standards in food quality and presentation. The Chef de Cuisine will manage and supervise back-of-house (BOH) staff, providing training and motivation to uphold performance standards. An essential aspect of this position is to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and hygiene protocols to maintain a safe environment for both employees and guests.

Additionally, the Chef de Cuisine will assist with inventory management, ordering, and cost control initiatives, including portioning and waste reduction efforts. This leadership role demands excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchen setting. The position offers the opportunity to act as the primary kitchen leader in the absence of the Executive Chef, making it a critical role for the smooth and successful operation of the kitchen. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary school preferred
  • food safety or sanitation certification such as ServSafe
  • 3 years of kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • strong leadership and training abilities
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
  • proficiency in recipe execution, portion control, cost management, and inventory
  • ability to maintain food safety and hygiene standards
  • flexible schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with daily operations, menu execution, and staff supervision
