Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary education or equivalent on the job training
- Minimum of 3 years experience in kitchen operations
- Proven leadership experience in a high volume culinary environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Physical stamina to handle kitchen demands
- California Food Handlers Certification
- CA Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
Job Qualifications
- In-depth skills and knowledge of all kitchen operations
- Possess strong leadership, communication, organization and relationship skills
- Experience with training, basic financial management and customer service
- A true desire to exceed guest expectations in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Capable of producing a consistent product in a timely manner
- Strong training and communication skills
- Culinary education and/or on the job training, independent restaurant experience is preferred
- Geographic and schedule flexibility required including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must possess high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader qualities and proven track record in high volume concepts
- Effective communicator and ability to provide exceptional customer service and improve the bottom line
- Refined verbal and written communication skills, including competency with Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Must be able to satisfy the needs of guests, associates, management and owners
- Must be able to work flexible AM/PM shifts including weekends and holidays
- Extremely detail oriented and organized
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
- Duties may include training, staff development and scheduling
- Physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- California Food Handlers Certification required

Job Duties
- Act as senior leadership by developing and assuming key management responsibilities
- Assume the role of liaison between all dining room operations and culinary staff
- Supervise the preparation and cooking of various food items
- Develop and implement creative menu items within the restaurant concept
- Plan, coordinate and implement special events and holiday functions
- Manage hourly kitchen employees through scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, evaluating and hiring
- Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results
