Job Description
Hilton is a globally renowned leader in the hospitality industry, recognized for its dedication to delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment. Founded with the vision to fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality, Hilton has welcomed over 3 billion guests worldwide, establishing itself as a trusted and cherished brand in the hotel and lodging sector. The company encompasses a diverse portfolio of world-class brands, continuously setting new standards for excellence and innovation in travel and accommodation. Known not only for its outstanding guest service but also for cultivating an award-winning workplace culture, Hilton has been repeatedly honored on the World's Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work and Fortune, underscoring its commitment to employee wellbeing and professional growth.
The role of Chef de Cuisine at Hilton is a prestigious position that goes beyond merely overseeing kitchen operations. It is an opportunity to be a pivotal part of an exceptional hospitality experience by managing the culinary team and ensuring that every dish served upholds the highest standards of quality, consistency, and creativity. This role carries the responsibility of orchestrating daily food preparation and production, optimizing profitability through diligent cost control, and executing menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and modern culinary trends. Collaboration is key, as the Chef de Cuisine works closely with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage leadership to craft innovative menus that delight guests and set Hilton apart from other hospitality providers.
Inventory and procurement oversight is another critical facet of the position, requiring the Chef de Cuisine to maintain strong vendor relationships while ensuring cost efficiency and ingredient quality. Financial acumen is essential since the role involves active participation in profit and loss reviews, managing both food and labor costs, and implementing strategies that enhance overall operational efficiency. Guest satisfaction remains at the heart of the role, with direct engagement to gather valuable feedback and support initiatives that elevate dining experiences.
Equally important is the leadership element of the job. The Chef de Cuisine inspires and mentors team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment where staff performance is continually monitored and developed through coaching. Compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations is strictly maintained, underscoring Hilton's commitment to the wellbeing of guests and employees alike.
Hilton supports its team members with an impressive range of benefits that promote wellbeing and work-life balance. These include incredible travel perks with discounted stays, an employee stock purchase program to invest in Hilton's future, paid parental leave, personalized caregiving support, crisis concierge services, mental health resources through an Employee Assistance Program, generous paid time off, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, and retirement plans designed to secure financial stability. Benefits availability may vary by location and employment terms.
As a member of Hilton's team, you are not only joining a job but starting a rewarding career in an environment that values integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership, and immediacy. Hilton's culture embodies an urgent and disciplined approach to making a lasting impact both for guests and colleagues. The company invites passionate hospitality professionals to join their global family and contribute to making every stay more memorable and magical.
