The Sustain Network is a premier talent acquisition agency specializing in connecting passionate job seekers with life-changing career opportunities within the hospitality and restaurant sectors. With a robust network spanning fine dining, private dining, quick service, and fast casual establishments, The Sustain Network has earned the trust of world-class organizations to discover exceptional talent, and likewise, great candidates rely on the agency to match them with culture-forward and mission-driven culinary businesses. This seamless alignment between employer needs and employee aspirations makes The Sustain Network a leader in hospitality recruitment across diverse culinary landscapes.

This particular opportunity features work with Villa Kitchen | Dinner Club Concierge | Luxury Conscious Travel, a chef-led collective renowned for crafting intimate, high-end dinners and exclusive private events hosted in exquisite villas, luxurious estates, and thoughtfully designed spaces. Villa Kitchen integrates culinary excellence with sustainable sourcing practices by collaborating closely with BIPOC and Indigenous growers, fisherfolk, and artisans. Their mission is to tell rich cultural food stories through refined and modern menus that honor provenance and culinary tradition while embracing contemporary tastes.

As a Chef with Villa Kitchen, you will be an integral part of this creative and disciplined team, tasked with designing seasonal, multi-course menus that highlight ingredient origin and craftsmanship, including accommodating vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free variants as necessary. You will take ownership of the entire event lifecycle, from initial tastings and meticulous preparation, through logistics such as packing and transportation, to onsite production and plating, delivering an impeccable service flow that embodies luxury hospitality standards.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for curating the aesthetic experience of each event by elevating tabletop details, such as handcrafted ceramics and linens, ensuring every element reads as editorial luxury. Leadership responsibilities include managing a small event team, setting kitchen standards, timing schedules, and enforcing rigorous food safety, cost controls, and thorough post-event wrap-up activities, including inventory management, cleaning, and client feedback analysis.

You'll represent the Villa Kitchen brand with warmth and professionalism, maintaining exceptional client communication to build lasting relationships and ensuring that every event tells a compelling culinary story. Candidates who excel in this role are systems-minded chefs who thrive under pressure, possess a deep respect for mise en place, timing, and plate consistency, and bring a storytelling passion that translates heritage, technique, and sourcing into an unforgettable guest experience.

Calm, coachable, and driven by growth, the successful chef embraces feedback and continuously elevates event quality. This role also requires a gracious hosting presence, equally adept in the kitchen and engaging guests front-of-house. This is a unique stage for creative chefs who value ownership, beautiful details, hospitality, and working within a culture that honors provenance and sustainability.

This position offers a chance to build a distinguished career in private dining and luxury event catering, working alongside a collaborative and visionary team dedicated to culinary artistry and conscious travel experiences. Prospective candidates should bring 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience in fine dining, high-end catering, private chefing, or senior chef roles such as chef de partie or sous chef, with a strong portfolio showcasing plated dishes and menus. Current food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent), a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation are required due to the nature of event locations. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential to meet event demands.

Bonus qualifications include experience with tasting menus, wine pairings, food fermentation and preservation, and open-fire cookery. Villa Kitchen is recognized not only for exemplary culinary execution but also for its commitment to telling meaningful cultural stories and fostering strong connections with local food artisans. This opportunity is ideal for culinary professionals eager to grow, lead, and innovate in a luxury, values-driven setting.

Application is streamlined through ZippyApp, which facilitates a quick, one-click application process incorporating a common employment application, resume, and cover letter. This modern recruitment approach eliminates hassle while encouraging candidates to share their story and enthusiasm for joining this distinguished team.
