Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years as a Restaurant Chef at a similar caliber property
- Hotel experience preferred
- Ability to work varied schedules including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in managing a full-service kitchen
- Strong understanding of sanitation and food safety standards
- Ability to lead and motivate a culinary team
- Commitment to quality and artistic food presentation
Job Qualifications
- Extensive full-service restaurant and fine dining experience
- Proven ability to manage, train, and supervise culinary staff
- Expert knowledge of butchering, sauces, soups, and cooking techniques of meat, fish, and vegetables
- Prior experience as a Restaurant Chef at a property of similar caliber
- Educational background in culinary arts or related field
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Duties
- Direct supervision of the day to day operation
- Understand advanced culinary concepts
- Build rapport with guests and wait staff
- Follow instructions and philosophy of the Food & Beverage Director
- Train, instruct and guide cooks
- Emphasize artistic food presentation and quality
- Control cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen
- Collaborate with service staff to advance menu knowledge
- Conduct daily walk-throughs of kitchens and walk-ins
- Perform daily checks of mise en place and food quality
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Director
