We are currently seeking a seasoned Chef de Cuisine to lead the culinary operations of the award-winning Lobby Bar & Grill within The Brown Hotel. This full-time role offers an annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 and is ideal for a motivated culinary professional with extensive experience in fine dining and full-service restaurant management. The Chef de Cuisine will play a pivotal role in upholding the hotel’s culinary standards, ensuring the seamless execution of daily kitchen operations, and fostering a creative and professional kitchen atmosphere.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a prestigious setting, leading a talented team of culinary staff to deliver outstanding food quality and artistic presentation. Responsibilities include direct day-to-day supervision of kitchen activities, training and guiding kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and collaborating closely with the Food & Beverage Director to align culinary efforts with the hotel's vision. The role requires a deep understanding of advanced culinary concepts and the ability to manage all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation and sanitation to quality control and menu knowledge enhancement among service staff. This position demands strong leadership skills, a passion for gastronomy, and a commitment to excellence in every dish served. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years as a Restaurant Chef at a similar caliber property
- Hotel experience preferred
- Ability to work varied schedules including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in managing a full-service kitchen
- Strong understanding of sanitation and food safety standards
- Ability to lead and motivate a culinary team
- Commitment to quality and artistic food presentation
Job Qualifications
- Extensive full-service restaurant and fine dining experience
- Proven ability to manage, train, and supervise culinary staff
- Expert knowledge of butchering, sauces, soups, and cooking techniques of meat, fish, and vegetables
- Prior experience as a Restaurant Chef at a property of similar caliber
- Educational background in culinary arts or related field
- Strong leadership and communication skills
