Job Requirements

  • 7-10 years of professional kitchen experience
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Food safety certification
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the kitchen
  • Valid driver's license for organizational driving
  • Ability to move or position up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move efficiently between buildings

Job Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of professional kitchen experience leading teams and managing kitchen operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems under pressure
  • Expertise in inventory management, recipe scaling, and safe food handling practices
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a professional demeanor
  • Familiarity with local, seasonal, and sustainable food practices
  • Food safety certification such as ServSafe
  • Proficiency in digital tools including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms
  • Experience in high volume, multi-location food service preferred
  • Catering or banquet preparation experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain awareness of operational needs across all three kitchen locations and provide coaching and guidance to kitchen teams
  • Step into leadership responsibilities during the Executive Chef's absence including managing kitchen operations and overseeing service execution
  • Develop culinary staff through training and mentoring focusing on professionalism, food safety, and operational excellence
  • Bridge communication between kitchen teams and leadership by surfacing operational issues and sharing updates
  • Support the preparation of café menu items and catering service execution ensuring consistency and adherence to approved recipes
  • Monitor kitchen cleanliness, organization, safety compliance, and equipment maintenance
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership to maintain a positive and efficient work environment built on mutual respect and inclusion
