Napa Music Hall is Napa's newest live music and arts venue located in the vibrant downtown area of Napa, California. Housed within the historic Napa Valley Opera House, this venue has been thoughtfully reimagined into two distinct event spaces designed to offer diverse entertainment experiences. Upstairs, The Ballroom welcomes up to 650 guests and is perfect for high energy performances and large-scale live events. Job Requirements

  • Must have a California Food Handlers Manager Certification
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on kitchen management or supervisory experience
  • Culinary experience
  • Experience cooking
  • Able to effectively lead, supervise, train, schedule and evaluate kitchen staff
  • Knowledgeable in menu planning and execution
  • Superior knowledge of purchasing, managing inventory, controlling food and labor costs, and upholding sanitation regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Computer literate
  • Diligent, detail-oriented, responsible and resourceful
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and diverse team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on kitchen management or supervisory experience
  • Knowledgeable in menu planning and execution for day-to-day and high-volume food service as well as event catering
  • Ability to effectively lead, supervise, train, schedule and evaluate kitchen staff
  • Superior knowledge of purchasing, managing inventory, controlling food and labor costs, and upholding sanitation regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about high quality food and service
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and email
  • California Food Handlers Manager Certification

Job Duties

  • Ensure all policies, procedures and systems are completed that maintain recipes and presentation standard for food and beverage
  • Execute all menu items and train the employees on how to properly execute and follow recipes
  • Determine daily prep needs
  • Proactively evaluate and uphold all company food safety and handling standards
  • Guarantee a high level of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
  • Payroll analysis
  • Conduct weekly and end of month inventory counts
  • Conduct weekly ordering
  • Create work schedules for kitchen staff
  • Seek and hire quality employees
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs
