Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 2 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Must be able to work full-time
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
- Availability to work shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Develops, designs, or creates new culinary applications, ideas, systems, or artistic contributions for the restaurant
- Supervises restaurant kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all Food and Beverage policies, standards and procedures
- Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards
- Plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements for the restaurant
- Assists in developing daily and seasonal menu items
- Supervises and coordinates activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
- Leads shift teams while personally preparing food items and executing requests
- Manages and trains restaurant kitchen employees
- Sets and supports achievement of kitchen goals including performance, budget, and team goals
- Provides services that exceed customer satisfaction and retention expectations
- Handles guest problems and complaints professionally
- Participates in hiring, training, and performance appraisal of kitchen employees
- Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
