The role we are seeking to fill is a Chef de Cuisine, a pivotal position within our culinary team responsible for the overall management and creative direction of the kitchen. This full-time position demands a highly skilled culinary professional who is passionate about food, capable of maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and adept in managing the operational and administrative facets of a busy restaurant kitchen. The Chef de Cuisine will develop and standardize recipes to ensure consistency, control food costs, and oversee inventory management to optimize profitability. This role also involves training and mentoring kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with all food hygiene and health and safety standards, and maintaining efficient kitchen operations to guarantee timely delivery of dishes. The Chef de Cuisine will work closely with the Executive Chef to create new menu items and periodically update the menu to keep offerings innovative and appealing. Strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset are essential for success in this role. The physical demands include standing and sitting for extended periods, handling kitchen tools and equipment, and occasionally lifting items up to 50 lbs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum three years of professional chef experience in fine dining
  • culinary arts degree or associate's degree preferred
  • current ServSafe certification
  • current driver license
  • ability to maintain cordial and effective relationships with co-workers, vendors, and business contacts
  • ability to strategize, take initiative, and plan effectively
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • excellent communication abilities
  • ability to build alliances with team members
  • excellent time management skills
  • capable of performing physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and sitting for extended periods
