We are currently seeking a full-time Chef de Cuisine at The Fountains, one of Kisco Senior Living's premier communities. The Chef de Cuisine supervises all meal preparation for residents, guests, and associates, ensuring the highest standards in culinary excellence are met daily across various dining venues. This leadership role is integral to the heart of house operations, working closely with culinarians to deliver seasonally inspired menus that delight and satisfy diverse palates. This position offers a salary range of $65,000 to $67,000, depending on experience.

The role demands a passionate and creative culinary professional who excels in kitchen management, menu innovation, and team mentorship. You will be responsible for instructing and educating culinary staff in diverse cuisines and proper use of modern cooking equipment, fostering professional growth and development among team members. Additionally, the Chef de Cuisine will manage and enhance resident and family satisfaction by actively listening to feedback, implementing process improvements, and anticipating guest needs to ensure an exceptional dining experience.

Quality assurance plays a vital part in this role, involving daily testing of raw ingredients, plated foods, and prepared meals to maintain superior standards of food safety and presentation. Maintaining excellent sanitation and cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas is mandatory to ensure compliance with health regulations and to promote a trustworthy food service environment. Collaboration with the Culinary Services Director is key to creating exciting, seasonal menus that incorporate fresh, high-quality ingredients and reflect current culinary trends.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of professional culinary experience, specifically in quantity food production, menu writing, and kitchen management. Additionally, holding a culinary certification and a current Food Handler's Certificate are essential requirements.
