The Chef de Cuisine position at Beatrix offers a dynamic role for culinary leaders who have a passion for food and management. Job Duties

  • Lead the opening shift process including food orders, inventory and price updates
  • receive and store deliveries
  • oversee inspections
  • manage menu changes
  • lead, direct and ensure efficient BOH operations including food prep and cooking
  • ensure adequate inventory levels of food and supplies
  • supervise kitchen employees
  • provide guidance and leadership to hourly and management teams fostering Culture of Caring
  • track and control food cost
  • purchase and order food product and supplies including daily product orders
  • partner with General Manager and management team to create prep lists and assign production duties to BOH staff
  • perform regular line checks to ensure quality
  • review and maintain recipe books with GM and management
  • ensure effective communication of food production and timing issues between FOH and BOH
  • interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, and develop BOH teams
  • model and promote teamwork across all teams
  • tactfully manage challenges with guests, vendors, and employees
  • work varied shifts including mornings, nights, weekends
  • move and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
