Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months cooking experience required
- complete food safety training within 90 days of hire
- valid Michigan driver's license or state ID
- must pass a basic physical and criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months of cooking experience required
- large-scale food prep preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with staff, residents, and their families
- Ability to work well independently with proper direction
- Ability to meet Holland Home's standards for attendance
Job Duties
- Complete advance prep as needed for meal service
- Check and record food temperatures
- Taste all prepared items
- Clean prep area and equipment after use
- Label all food containers with date, time, and item description
- Maintain required logs (temperature, delivery, sanitation, etc.)
- Respect and uphold resident rights in daily practices
