Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a chef or sous chef in an upscale or high-volume kitchen or a similar culinary role within the food service industry
  • Passion for Italian cuisine and creative plating
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and food handling practices
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse kitchen staff
  • Passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for guests
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required
  • A drive to maintain excellence every shift

Job Duties

  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current food trends and customer preferences
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations from prep to plate, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
  • Develop and execute elevated Italian-inspired menu items
  • Ensure dishes are executed with precision, flavor, and flawless presentation
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper food handling practices to ensure freshness and safety
  • Lead, train, and support kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Uphold sanitation and safety standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with management on inventory, specials, and menu updates
  • Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain quality standards
  • Address any customer feedback or concerns regarding food quality or service promptly
