Latham Centers, Inc. is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive care, education, and support services to children and adults with complex special needs. Established with the mission to promote the dignity, independence, and personal growth of individuals facing physical, cognitive, and developmental challenges, Latham Centers operates a range of residential and educational programs designed to ensure the highest quality of life for those they serve. The organization is committed to fostering inclusive environments where individuals are empowered to reach their full potential through compassionate care, innovative therapies, and community engagement. With a history rooted in advocacy and excellence, Latham Centers has earned a reputation as a trusted provider in the field of special needs services, emphasizing respect, safety, and individualized support.

The role of Chef at Latham Centers is more than just culinary preparation; it is a vital component of the holistic care provided to students with complex special needs. As a Chef, you will be responsible for crafting nutritious and wholesome meals that cater to the unique dietary requirements of each individual, supporting their health and well-being through carefully planned menus. This position offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day by enhancing the dining experience for students and staff alike. Working in a hands-on capacity, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team—including educators, clinical staff, and caregivers—to ensure meals are prepared safely, hygienically, and with attention to specialized needs.

This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cooking with purpose, whether you bring prior kitchen experience or are eager to grow professionally within a mission-driven environment. Latham Centers offers a supportive workplace culture where teamwork, respect, and ethical standards guide all interactions. Beyond meal preparation, you may also engage directly with students, providing compassionate support that contributes to a positive community atmosphere. The position requires adaptability, physical capability to manage demanding kitchen tasks, and willingness to respond to emergency situations as needed.

Employment with Latham Centers as a Chef is an opportunity to build a rewarding career in a setting where every meal counts towards improving lives.
