Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous chef experience required
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work under time constraints in a physical environment
  • Must complete Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree or higher in culinary arts preferred
  • Previous chef experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of hotel and hospitality industries
  • Ability to motivate and build teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Manage the culinary department and provide leadership
  • Ensure food preparation meets safety and sanitation standards
  • Drive department results and promote strategies to increase guest satisfaction
  • Oversee daily culinary operations and maintain food quality and presentation
  • Write and test recipes and create menus
  • Manage inventory and kitchen supplies
  • Collaborate with catering and event teams to develop special menus
