Job Requirements
- must be 21 years of age
- must hold or be willing to obtain ServSafe certification
- experience working in community or school kitchen preferred
- availability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends
- ability to perform physical interventions and verbal de-escalation training
- successful background and driving record checks
- commitment to trauma-informed care principles
Job Qualifications
- experience in culinary arts or food service
- knowledge of nutrition and meal preparation
- ability to work in a team environment
- communication skills to educate students on healthy living
- strong organizational abilities
- previous experience in a school or community kitchen preferred
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Duties
- oversee menu planning for the kitchen
- prepare and cook nutritious meals for students and staff
- manage food orders and inventory
- ensure kitchen safety and cleanliness
- collaborate with administrative team to promote nutrition education
- maintain kitchen equipment and monitor food quality
- implement health and wellness initiatives within the residential community
