The Chef role at Clayton plays a critical part in supporting the Sous Chef and Executive Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations. The Chef is responsible for food preparation and cooking tasks across plated meals, buffets, and action stations. They assist with setting up buffets, beverage services, and snack stations, ensuring the kitchen functions smoothly and efficiently throughout the day. Another key responsibility includes collaborating with senior kitchen staff on recipe testing and development to continually enhance the menu offerings. Additionally, the Chef performs various stewarding duties such as receiving, stocking, and rotating stock to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize waste.
Maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen environment is paramount for this role. The Chef strictly adheres to safe food handling practices and proper storage procedures to guarantee food safety and quality.
