Job Requirements

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
  • ability to acquire food safety certification
  • demonstration of basic math and counting skills
  • good interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
  • physical ability including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare food following production instructions and standardized recipes
  • prepare the work area with all necessary ingredients and tools
  • perform tasks such as measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling food
  • safely use kitchen tools including knives
  • operate kitchen machinery such as ovens, ranges, blenders, and cutting tools
  • apply various cooking techniques like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • organize, decorate, and serve food according to standards
  • adhere to food safety protocols and store food properly
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workspaces, tools, and equipment
  • provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
  • follow Aramark safety protocols and food cleanliness measures
  • protect corporate resources
