Job Description
Our winter retreat group is based in Homestead, Florida, and operates from November 1 through March 31 each year. We specialize in providing a warm and welcoming environment for older adults who come to enjoy their winter vacation in the Sunshine State. Our group values comfort, health, and enjoyment, especially when it comes to meals. We are dedicated to ensuring our guests receive nutritious, flavorful food that not only satisfies their dietary needs but also excites their palates. We believe that food is a cornerstone of a happy retreat experience and are committed to maintaining a high standard of culinary excellence throughout the season.
We are seeking a talented personal chef to join us for this seasonal period. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for cooking and a strong background in culinary arts. This role involves preparing delicious, wholesome meals tailored to the specific dietary preferences of our older adult group. The position offers a competitive daily rate of $250, reflecting our appreciation for high-quality food preparation and creative meal planning. You will be responsible for grocery shopping to source the freshest ingredients, designing innovative recipes, and ensuring that every meal is not only healthy but also exciting and enjoyable.
This role demands flexibility in scheduling since meal preparation times may vary depending on the group’s activities and preferences. Creativity and adaptability are highly valued qualities for this role, as you will be crafting menus that accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences with an eye for variety and nutrition. Our community places a strong emphasis on the use of fresh, quality ingredients and inventive cooking styles to elevate the dining experience. As a personal chef, you will be an integral part of our winter retreat, helping to create a memorable and comfortable atmosphere through your culinary expertise.
